Where There's Technology, There's a way

You are all probably wondering, why haven't the Lehman's posted anything to their blog? Are they in prison? Did they die from too much rice?

What happened?

As it turns out, China blocks access to blogs. However, a colleague of mine turned me on to some software that creates it's own virtual private network and it encrypts all of the traffic from my computer to the blog.

Therefore, we will start blogging more regularly and posting our pictures. It's good to be back. Please check back regularly as we have a lot to post.

Wednesday June 17th - I have arrived

It is 11:30 am on Wednesday June 17th and I am now in Beijing. I arrived yesterday at Peking International Airport (beautiful airport) at 3:30 pm, got to my hotel at 5:00 and crashed. I crawled into bed and watched movies all evening, struggling to stay awake till 11:00 pm so that my body can start to adjust to the new time zone. Beijing is 12 hours ahead of the Philadelphia so whatever time it is there, just change the am to pm or pm to am.

I going out this afternoon to look at apartments. I will post some pictures as soon as I find my camera.

It is warm here - 75 degrees and smoggy. Day 1 of 75 of no sun, ugh. I miss our blue skies already.

We Are Going To China For the Summer!

It's official!

We are going to China.

Rob leaves on June 15th and will be returning back to the states on or around September 12th. Lori and the kids leave on July 2nd and will be back to the states on August 23rd. So much for enjoying the lake house this summer or our new deck & patio.

Oh well.

For christmas this year, everyone should expect something chinese - afterall, we are going to be there for 3 months. I wonder if I can get anything Made In America?
